This three-day online event is organised by the DPG divisions:

• Biological Physics
• Chemical and Polymer Physics
• Dynamics and Statistical Physics
• Physics of Socio-economic Systems

The virtual meeting takes place in the week, in which the DPG Spring Meeting of the Condensed Matter Section in Berlin had been originally scheduled but that meeting has been postponed to September 2021.

We feel that additional opportunities for exchange of ideas and dissemination are necessary in this period of pandemic. Our conference will take advantage of the opportunities of online-meeting technologies and allow for a lively exchange of ideas and scientific communication as well as informal encounters.

This virtual DPG Spring Meeting of BP, CPP, DY, and SOE will feature mini symposia that are organised by the participating divisions. These will include invited talks, a selection of contributed talks from the cancelled Spring Meeting 2020, and new contributions, mainly in the form of posters.
